Frank George Armstrong Sr.'s Obituary
Frank George Armstrong Sr., age 85, of East China Twp., passed away peacefully at home on Monday December 3, 2018. He was born June 23, 1933 in St. Clair to the late Frank and Violet Armstrong. On June 30, 1951 Frank married Frances Merrill in Marine City. She predeceased him in 2016.
Frank once worked for Chris Craft and later worked for and retired from the Detroit Edison. He was an avid woodworker and loved to travel.
He is survived by his children, Lori (Ed) Lumley, Sheri (Larry) Mitti, Frank Armstrong Jr., Jeff (Michele) Armstrong, Connie (Bob) Bieth, Patty (Mike) Smith, Karyn (Johann II) Franz; loving daughter in law, Julie Armstrong; 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, brother Tim (Sue) Armstrong; and sister in law, Karen Merrill
In addition to his wife and parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter in law, Michele Armstrong.
A funeral service will be Thursday, December 6th at 10 a.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to service. Private interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Algonac.
