Forrest S. "Brock" Borden Jr.'s Obituary
Forrest S. Borden Jr, age 79 of Marysville, died Sunday, December 4, 2011.
Forrest was born May1, 1932 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to the late Forrest and Hattie Borden. In 1948 he was a member of the Gallipolis, Ohio, “Blue Devils ” championship basketball, football and baseball teams. Forrest served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a volunteer for the Rose Parade for 11 years, and in 1984as a Olympic volunteer, he worked with the Chinese Basketball Team.
Forrest was a long time member of the Port Huron Yacht Club and former Harbor Master. He married Mary Niederhauser on August 10 , 1996.
Forrest is survived by his wife Mary, his son Charles Borden, step-daughters,
Julie (Steve) Mosurak and Jennifer (Alex) Lengemann, step-grandchildren Sara, Alexa and Levi , aunt Gloria Borden and his four legged friend Harley
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held Wednesday, December 7, at 1 PM at the Port Huron Yacht Club. Memorials to Blue Water Hospice
