Mrs Florence Marie Broughton's Obituary
Florence M. Broughton, age 82 of St. Clair, died Monday, December 31, 2012.
She was born January 10,1930 to the late Raymond and Emma Clark.
Florence married Donald Broughton on April 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death on August 17, 2012. She enjoyed many years working in comparison shopping for J.L. Hudson. Florence gained her Real Estate licenses later in life and enjoyed a second career as an agent in St. Clair. She spent many years as “first mate” with Donald sailing the Great Lakes on their sailboat, playing bridge and golfing.
Florence was an avid reader and very proud that she and Donald were married 63 years and “still liked each other’ to the end.
Florence is survived by daughters, Diane (Brian) Carpenter, Janet (Bill) Toth and Christine (Emil) Kirchhoff; grand children Shannon Iles, Alex Toth and David Rice; and her beloved twin brother Lawrence (Buddy) Clark.
Cremation has taken place with a family gathering to be held at a later date.
