Evelyn S. Emig's Obituary
Evelyn S. Emig, age 89 of St. Clair, died Friday, October 1, 2004. Evelyn was born in St. Clair, June 13, 1915 to the late Willie and Lillie Walters. She graduated from St. Clair High School. Evelyn married John Emig, October 1, 1935 and he preceded her in death on December 3, 1996. Evelyn owned and operated the Bath and Wicker shop for several years in the Riverview Plaza, St. Clair. She was an avid golfer, winning many club championships at the St. Clair River County Club. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and was a life member of St. Peter''s Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Evelyn is survived by her sisters, Florence Sass of Marysville, Inez (Robert) Abbott of Harrison Twp. and brothers, Melvin (Irene) Walters and Raymond (Verda) Walters of St. Clair and Harold Walters of Mahapac, NY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Norman and Alvina Walters, sister and brother-in-law John and Frances Taylor and sister, Alice Walters. Visitation is Sunday, 2-4PM and 6-8PM from the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home. In state at St. Peter''s Lutheran Church on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. The Rev. Roland Troike will officiate. Burial is in Hillside Cemetery. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home. Memorials are to St. Peter''s Lutheran Church.
