Eugene "Gene" Walson's Obituary
Eugene A. Walson age 82 of St. Clair died Monday , May 21, 2007. Gene was born in Detroit, September 2,1924. He married Dolores Cyrul on Jul 18,1953. He worked for the Detroit Police Department retiring in 1975, he then worked for Harper Hospital Security until 1990 when he worked as bridge tender in St. Clair until 2005. Gene served in the US Navy during WW II, and he belonged to the DPOA, VFW Post 1278 and St. Mary’s Parish. He was a pilot and enjoyed walking his Golden Retrievers.
Gene is survived by his wife Dolores, Daughter Sharon (Melvin) Angell, Sons, David (Rita) and Alex (Lana) Walson, grandchildren, Carolyn, Michaelyn, Jennifer, Alexandra, Lauren, Thomas, Isaac and Kayln. 6 great grand children. Brother Robert, Gerry and Donald, and four legged friend Satsh. Preceded in death by brother Stanley and sister Nathleen Hidek.
Visitation Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-8 PM the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home with rosary at 7:30PM. In state Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 9:30 till mass at 10 AM. Memorials to Blue Water Hospice or the St. Clair County Humane Society
