Esther L. Mason age 73 of St. Clair died Thursday, December 9, 2004. Esther was born in Detroit, February 18, 1931 to the late Austin and Pauline (nee O’Grady) Cook. Esther married Robert L. Mason on February 18,1950 and he died September 26, 2001. Esther retired as manager of the Macomb Savings and Loan were she worked for 40 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in St. Clair and was active with the Cherry Beach Center of the St. Clair County Council on Aging. Esther is survived by her son Robert (Bridget) Mason and daughter Cheryl (Robert) Haack. Grandchildren Robert E and Christine R. Haack and Benjamin J. and Ella K. Mason and her sister Betty. She was also preceded in death by her brother Elmer and Sister Madeleine. Cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends Sunday, December 12 at the LC. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair from 2-7 PM with prayer service at 5 PM. Memorials to the Heart Association or The St. Clair County Council on Aging.
