Elizabeth J. "Betty" Stubbs' Obituary
Elizabeth J. “Betty” Stubbs, age 90 of St. Clair died Wednesday, February 17, 2016.
Betty was born in St. Clair on December 27, 1925 to the late Arthur and Frances Mary Bassett. She married Herbert C. Stubbs, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1996. Betty worked at the Commercial and Saving Bank in St. Clair for 28 years, beginning as a teller and retiring as the purchasing officer. She is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair.
She is survived by her son, Robert “Herk” (Dianne) Stubbs, granddaughter Renee (Ben) Lasher and grandson Ryan Stubbs; great grand children Jakob and Samuel Lasher and Ella Stubbs; brother-in-law Roy Stubbs, and sister-in-law Bette Stubbs ; many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors. Betty was also preceded in death by her grandson Andrew Stubbs and sisters Mary Umlauf and Velma Miller.
Visitation in the L.C.Friederichs & Son Funeral Home Sunday from 1PM till 8 PM.
Funeral service Monday 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Burial in Hillside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Betty’s family would like to thank Marianne Hoffmann and the staff on “Welcome Home” and Seasons Hospice for their care.
