Edward John Hamlin's Obituary
Edward John Hamlin age 80 of East China passed away peacefully Friday, November 21, 2014.
Ed was born in St.Clair, October 16, 1934 to the late Archibald and Mary (Halpin) Hamlin. He graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1953 and served in the US Army. Ed married Genevieve Anne Regan, September 12, 1959. He retired from Cadillac Gage after 30 years. Ed was a member of Our Lady on the River Parish, the Marine City Knights of Columbus and the Southeastern Michigan Conservation Club.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Genevieve, 4 children, Edward Hamlin II (Susan), Tracey Hamlin (Mark), Michelle Shackett (Frank) and Timothy Hamlin (Frances), grandchildren Andrea (Jim), Megan, Stuart, Samantha, Thomas, Joseph, Anastasia, great grand children James V, Alaina and Micha.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held Friday, December 5th at 12 noon at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Memorials can be made to Holy Cross Elementary School.
