Edward G. Emerich's Obituary
Edward G. Emerich, age 90, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 26, 2021. He was born February 20, 1930 in St. Clair to the late Christian and Anna Emerich. Ed graduated from St. Clair high school class of 1947. He married Iris Livernois on September 2, 1950 and she preceded him in death on August 24, 2017.
Ed was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clair; He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council No. 2251 in St. Clair. He enjoyed farming and gardening around the house. But most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his three children, Steven (Debra) Emerich, Tom (Linda) Emerich, Ann Landra; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; sister in-law, Rosemary “Babe” Servick, along with several nieces and nephews.
Ed is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Emerich; sister, Josephine Brinker; son, Gary Emerich; daughter, Jacquelyn Basnaw and son in-law Joseph Landra.
A private graveside service will be conducted and interment will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Clair. Memorials may be made to The Blue Water Hospice Home. To leave a message of comfort visit www.lcfandson.com
