Duane Murray Giffin's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Duane Murray Giffin. Duane passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024. He is survived by his sister Lynn Ceraulo, aunt Anna Mary Scarfe, many cousins, dear friend, Mary Orwin, and his kitty cat, Calli. He was born in Sarnia Ontario, Canada on September 13, 1947. He was predeceased by his parents, Willard (1980) and Bertha (1999), and his brother-in-law, Jor Ceraulo (2004).
Duane proudly served in the United States Army, and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was employed by Elizabeth Town Gas in New Jersey as a Supervisor and retired after many years. After his retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at Lake Huron Medical Center, which he did for a number of years before coming ill. Loving kindness and generosity to others were the cornerstone of my brother’s life.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with morning prayers being said at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. memorials may be made to the Michigan Humane Society or St. Mary’s Church.
