Dorothy Jean Sawher's Obituary
Dorothy Jean Sawher, age 97 of St. Clair died Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Medilodge of St.Clair. Dorothy was born in St. Clair on November 1, 1917 to the late Herman C. and Jenny (Sager) Vollstaedt.She graduated from St. Clair High School, June 13, 1935 and married Walter H. Sawher on October 29, 1938 in St. Clair and he died on March 19, 1993.
Dorothy enjoyed her church family and friends from both St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was a member. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son Walter (Debra) Sawher III, daughters Pamela (Bert) Nunneley and Jennifer (John) MacDonald, grand children Jennifer (Fred) Malburg, John C. (Johnna) Nunneley, John D. MacDonald III and Heidi (Todd) Schweihofer, great grand children, Frederick (Marrisa) Malburg, Andrew (Kaitlyn) Malburg, Pamela (Fiancée, Justin Kelly) Malburg, Emily Malburg, Todd E. Schweihofer Jr.,Abigail Schweihofer,Erica Schweihofer, Burt S. Nunneley, Lucille Nunneley and David Nunneley, great great granddaughter Evelyn Malburg. She was also preceded in death by a sister Norene Schriner.
Visitation Thursday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, St.Clair from 10 AM till 11 AM when services will be held, Pastor Alan Schwieger officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, St.Peter’s Lutheran Church, Council on Aging or Donors choice. Arrangements by L.C.Friederichs & Son,
