Dorothy Jean Blake's Obituary
Dorothy Jean Blake passed away on June 27, 2026, at the age of 90.
She was born on December 22, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Clarence and Mable Wood.
Dorothy graduated from Sweetest Heart of Mary High School in 1953 and went on to work as a bookkeeper for various organizations throughout her career. She married Robert Blake in 1958.
Dorothy had a passion for crafting. Whether she was china painting or building dollhouses, she found great joy in all crafts. She later moved from Michigan to Florida, where she lived for more than 20 years before returning to Michigan.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Michael (Charlotte) Blake; her grandchildren, Michelle (Brent) Phillips and Robert Blake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Blake, in 1972; her brothers, Bernard (Norma) Wood, Harold (Betty) Wood, Richard (Evelyn) Wood, and William (Pat) Wood; and her parents, Clarence and Mable Wood.
A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, July 2nd at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, July 1st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at L.C.
