Doris H. Wenning's Obituary
Doris H. Wenning age 98 of China Twp., went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 7, 2003. Doris was born March 14, 1905 to the late Charles and Lynn Haigh. She married Roy Wenning in December of 1929 and he died in 1986. Doris graduated from Olivet College with a music degree, and taught in Detroit and was the music director at the First Presbyterian Church of Detroit. She moved to St. Clair with her family in 1947, and began teaching in the St. Clair Schools, were she taught Kindergarten for many years at Eddy School. Doris was member and former choir director of The First United Methodist Church, St. Clair. She is survived by her son Hollis (Norma) Wenning, Sister-in-law Helen Wenning, grandchildren Mark (Elizabeth) Wenning, Lynn (Steve) Adelmann, Holly (Bill) Mayea and Keith Wenning. Great grandchildren Jason, Amy, Joe, Lisa,& Elsie.
Visitation at the L.C.Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St.Clair, Sunday 1-7 PM. Monday at the First United Methodist Church from 10 AM till services at 11 AM. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Memorials to the First United Methodist Church.
