Doris Currier's Obituary
Doris Currier, age 94, of East China Twp., passed away May 9, 2024. She was born March 2, 1930 in Detroit to the late Jack and Cleo Varty. On August 19, 1950, Doris married Joe Currier. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Doris worked for over 25 years at Commercial and Savings Bank, St. Clair in the Customer Service Department. Following her retirement Doris assisted her son, Chuck, at Silks Flower Shop, St. Clair for many more years. Among her favorite hobbies were quilting and doing puzzles. Doris dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and always cherished every moment she spent with them.
Doris is survived by her children, Bill (Cyndy) Currier, Chuck Currier and Jerry (Shirley) Currier; grandchildren, Sarah Myers, Kim (Craig) Smith, Katie Currier, John (Shelly) Currier and Jerry Currier II; great grandchildren, Zaidan Myers, Brady Currier, Connor Myers, Charli Smith and Lily Currier; sisters in law, Joy Varty and Linda Varty and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Joseph Currier; grandson, Joe Currier and brothers, Jack Varty, Jim Varty and Clyde Varty;
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15th at 11:00 a.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service.
