Donnabel F Bellore's Obituary
Donnabel F. Bellore, Age 79 passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Donald E. and Harriet A. Ross. Donnabel married James Otto Bellore on May 5, 1956 in St. Clair, Michigan. She attended St. Clair High School, graduating in the class of 1953.
Donnabel raised 4 great children at the family home on Pug Road, together with our treasured neighbors making great memories and lasting friendships. She enjoyed gardening, canning food for her family, sewing and knitting. She was quick to reply “I always wanted to be a merry homemaker”. Donnabel was a great listener to all. She was a surrogate mom and grandma to many always lending positive and unconditional love. Donnabel’s favorite hobby was to spend time with her family, grandkids and friends. She loved a good gathering, good food, lots of friends and conversation about everyone’s happenings.
Donnabel is survived by her son, James D. Bellore, David A. Bellore (Jennifer Bellore), Mary Beth Carstens (Paul), Susan Westrick (John) and grandchildren, Nicholas Bellore, Bernadette Bellore, John Glenn Carstens, Melissa Schalk (Scott), Jason Carstens, Jordan Bellore, Jonah Bellore, Haley Westrick, Megan Westrick and Mara Westrick. Great Grandchild, Ella Schalk. Siblings: Harvey (Janet) Ross, Harriet Phillips, Ruth Ann (Fred) Shaw. Many special nieces and nephews.
Donnabel was preceded in death by her by loving husband James Otto Bellore, her parents, Donald and Harriet Ross, her son, John Glenn Bellore and granddaughter Morgan Elizabeth Westrick.
Visitation in the L.C.Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, Wednesday from 2-9 PM. In state Thursday
From 12 noon till service at 1 PM in the First United Methodist Church. Burial In Hillside Cemetery.
Memorials to the wishes of the family (3 MM Foundation). This is a Dominican Republic non-profit school that provides free early childhood Montessori education to children living in poverty. The school was founded by Sarah Ross, Donnabel’s niece, a passion very dear to her heart.
