Dolores "Dee" Walson's Obituary
Dolores “Dee” Walson, age 94, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 12, 2022. She was born October 29, 1927 in Detroit to the late Alexander and Florence Cyrul. Dee married Eugene Walson July, 18, 1953 and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2007.
Dee lived in St. Clair most of her life and the St. Clair community meant a lot to her, she had a passion for life and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed casinos, the lottery and especially loved being up north.
She is survived by her children, Sharon (Mel) Angell, David (Rita) Walson, Alexander Walson; grandchildren, Carolyn (Vince) Mangiapane, Michaelyn (Mark) Gelander, the late and always loved Jennifer (Robert) Kuphal, Alexandra Cochran, Lauren Walson, Thomas Walson; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; brother, The Honorable Richard E. Cyrul, numerous nieces and nephews, very special friends Christy, Pat, Scott and Dawn.
A funeral service will take place Saturday July 16, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair with visitation from 3:00 p.m. till time of service. In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to Blue Water Hospice or St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI.
