Dianne C. Saunders' Obituary
Dianne C. Saunders, age 66, passed away at home surrounded by her family on October 12, 2011 after a valiant five-month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Lansing, MI, October 24, 1944, to the late Dora K. and Paul D. Hunter.
She is survived by her husband of fifty years Al, daughter Carol (Ken) Pitts of Blandon, PA, son Mark (Paula) Saunders of Saline, MI, granddaughters Sarah and Kelly Pitts, and grandsons Austin and Garrett Saunders; also three sisters, Carolyn (Tom) Krieg of Marquette, MI, Cindy (Tom) Nauta of Grand Haven, MI, Paula (Bruce Sherrod) Hunter of Lansing, MI, and brother Paul (Lisa) Hunter of St. Clair, MI.
She graduated from Graveraet High School in Marquette, MI, in 1962. She received degrees in nursing and accounting from SCCC. She retired from Blue Water Plastics in 2000.
Dianne enjoyed performing with the St. Clair Theater Guild, crocheting afghans, watching NASCAR races, bowling, traveling to Florida, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, boating and especially playing card games with family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at L.C. Friederichs & Son
Funeral Home from 6-9 PM on Friday, October 14, 2011. A private service will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to Mercy Hospice.
