Delbert Loranger's Obituary
Delbert "Del" Loranger age 83 of St. Clair formerly of Dearborn died Monday, March 24, 2003. Del was born March 17, 1920 in Detroit. He married Margaret Foster July 14, 1945. Del graduated from Western Michigan University, where he was an All American Basketball Player. He played professional basketball with the Detroit Gems. He then taught and coached in the Dearborn School System, retiring as Principal of William Ford Elementary. Del was a member of Dearborn Rotary, YMCA Board of Directors, Active in the Girl Scouts WMU Athletic Hall of Fame.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret, daughter, Anne Holm, son, David F. Loranger. Grandchildren, Molly (Tim) Browne, Megan and Erinn Holm. Great grandaughter, Grace Browne.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to St. John''s Hospice. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair, MI
