David H. Chisnell's Obituary
David H. Chisnell age 93 of St. Clair died Tuesday December 16, 2003.
He was born in rural Macomb County Jan. 11, 1910 and moved to St. Clair
with his family where he graduated from S. Clair High School. He married Ilene Lively in Detroit in October 1934 and she died July 31, 1996. David worked for Diamond Crystal Slat, retiring in 1973 as a production supervisor. He was a life member of Evergreen Lodge # 9 F and A M and served as Chaplin for more than 20 years and a Royal Arch Mason and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. David was a life member of the RLDS Church (Community of Christ) and a former city council member for eight years
under mayors, Dr. Carney, J.C. Coburn and John Emig. He spent his life helping people.
David is survived by his daughter Meredith Lee (Melvin D.) Whitford, Grandchildren
David (Melissa) Holka, Rachel (Mike) Mills, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Whitford and Jeffery
(Stacy) Whitford. Great grand children Andrea, Alexa and Alecia , Ashley, Bryan , Alyssa , Morissa and Jeff Jr. In addition to his wife, his brother Carl A. Chisnell preceded David in death.
Visitation Friday from the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-9
with Masonic service at 7 PM by the Evergreen Lodge # 9 F and AM.
Funeral service Saturday 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Hillside Cemetery.
