David W. Brozo's Obituary
David W. Brozo, age 76, of St. Clair Twp., passed away June 13, 2017. He was born on December 3, 1940 in Detroit to the late Freeman and Evelyn Brozo. He married Marlene Tabaczuk on February 4, 1961 in Grosse Pointe.
He worked for the Detroit Police Department for 38 years including working as a Sergeant for the Lieutenant and Sergeant Association.
He was very dedicated to his church at both St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair and Holy Family Catholic Church, Memphis. He served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, singing in the choir and volunteering for whatever project came up.
In Memphis he served as a prayer minister with Divine Mercy Center. He was also a member of the St. Clair Theatre Guild.
He loved his family, playing cards, golfing, riding his lawnmower and just being around people.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years; Marty Brozo, children; Rob (Carole) Brozo, Beth (Justin Barber) Hill, Laura (Marty) Miller, Jill (John) Pescari, Gary (Sarah) Brozo, and Adam (Cindy) Brozo.
He is also survived by his grandchildren; David (Chelsea), Chris, Paul (Kate), Amanda (David), Bryan (Paige), Samantha, Stephanie (Tristin), Madison, Jacob, Jenna, Julia, Jayme, Owen, and Ian, great-grandchildren; Mckenzie, Hannah and Noah and many relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by sons; Paul and Kenny Brozo.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be Monday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair and half hour at church prior to mass. A rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Memorials are suggested to Divine Mercy Missionary Center in Memphis, Michigan.
