To the Family of "Z" I had the privilege of knowing Dan when i was younger and much dumber than i am now. He set me on a path which helped me right my ways. He was always there with a big smile whenever I saw him even after so many years. Your dad was one of a kind and will be missed in this world.

At 12 years old I started to play basketball on Thursday nights with the police officers. Dan stopped by our house and talked with my parents and said that I was welcome to play and that he would drive me home after. After 41 years and hundreds of miles apart we would talk several times a year and when we did get together we never missed a beat. We send the family all of our love and prayers and Dan my longest and best friend will be missed.
