Charlotte A. Bogue's Obituary
Charlotte A. Bogue (nee Campbell), age 92, of Rochester Hills, formerly from East China, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, June 3rd 2017. An only child, she was born on her father’s 25th birthday, January 7, 1925, in Port Huron, Michigan to the late Archie C. and Edith O. Campbell.
Charlotte graduated from Port Huron High School in 1942 and in 1948, from Michigan State College (now University). After graduating from Michigan State, she worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company. Charlotte loved to bake, sew, knit and travel with the NOMADS travel group; however, her passion was any Michigan State University sporting event but her absolute favorite was men’s basketball!
In 1949, she married Stuart H. Bogue (deceased 2014). They lived in Royal Oak from 1958 until 1989 when they moved to St. Clair. In 1995, they moved to East China, and Charlotte lived there until she moved to Rochester Hills in 2014.
Charlotte is survived by her son James (Virginia) Bogue, daughter Jeanette (William) Trefzer and daughter Jennifer (Roger) Bick; and grandchildren, James Bogue, Jr., Amy and Timothy Trefzer and Natalie and Nolan Bick.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 16 2017 from 10am until the time of the service at 11am at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in St. Clair. Private family burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Port Huron. In lieu of flowers, a donation made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 115 N. Sixth Street, St. Clair, Michigan 48079, in memory of Charlotte A. Bogue would be appreciated. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair, MI.
