Charles W. Jordan's Obituary
Charles W Jordan age 91 of East China died Thursday April 5, 2007. He born in Detroit, September 17, 1915. In his early years he gave water to the elephants for Blackstone the Magician behind the fox theater. He delivered liquor to the Purple gang in Detroit. Charles graduated from Denby High School an attended art school in Detroit and was a talented artist in oil and watercolor. He loved gardening and Purple Martins. He met his future wife before joining the Navy and served on a destroyer escort in WW II. He married Anne Enderle in February of 1946. He worked for the US Postal service until retirement in 1977 when they moved to St. Clair and continued to walk everyday. After quadruple bypass surgery at age of 85 he liked to sit in his chair on the driveway, talk to neighbors and neighborhood children and nap. In 2005 he entered Medilodge of St. Clair. He was a beloved Husband, Farther,
and Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Anne, two sons Robert M. Jordan of Hagatna, Guam, Edward C. Jordan of Mio, Michigan. Daughter Catherine J. Louis and son in law Dr. Kenneth M Louis of Tampa.
Granddaughter Jennifer. Louis of Atlanta, and Grandsons Michael K and Daniel A Louis Of Tampa and many nieces and nephews. he was preceded in death by sister Virginia in 2006.
Cremation has taken place, the family will receive friends , Monday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from 10 AM till 10:30 AM when a memorial mass will be held. His love, his humor and wit will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son
