Mr Charles N Jeffries' Obituary
Charles N Jeffries age,79, of China Twp. passed away March 29, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was born August 6, 1933 in Clintonville, W.V to the late Elbert and Polly Jeffries.
Upon completion of his Master Degree from Marshall University, he moved to Michigan to begin teaching in Sandusky, Michigan. Charles was also a principal in Sandusky until he took a job selling textbooks to public schools for the next 20 years. After selling text books he opened a small business in Clinton Twp. until he retired at 63. His love has always been family and the hills of West Virginia. He liked the outdoors and when weather was good could be seen outdoors on his tractor. He liked to travel by car and has driven all of the continental United States including Alaska. During his long illness, the family would like to thank his caregivers at Rivers Edge and Wadhams Creek assisted living care facilities.
He is survived by his wife Barbara whom he married in 1971, their four children
Julie Jeffries, Mark (Polly) Jeffries, Jennifer Minge and Rachael (Tim) Jeffries, three grand children Nicholas and Tara Minge and Madison Jeffries, and two brother John and Ross Jeffries. He was also preceded in death by his sister Joanne Burns.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27 at the First Congregational Church, 300 Adams, St. Clair. The family will receive friends from 1PM till service at 2 PM. Memorials can be made to the church. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son
