Chalmer Ellis' Obituary
Chalmer Orlo Ellis died Monday, May 17,2010. Chalmer was born on February 28, 1919 in Jay County Indiana. He severed in the Army in WW II and was discharged
With a purple heart and several medals. He met and married his wife Louanna Borger in 1947. They moved to Port Huron, MI in 1950. In 1960 they moved to St. Clair.
He worked construction with the Laborers Local 463 retiring in 1980.
He I survived by daughters, Dinah O’Dell of Clyde, MI and daughter and son-in-law Chalma (Rocky) and Don Lumley of St. Clair and son and daughter-in-law.
Mike and Sue Ellis of East China, MI. his canine companion Lady, three grandsons, and six granddaughters, four grandson-in law, one granddaughter-in-law, five great granddaughters and one great grandson, a brother and sister-in-law Vearl and Lois Ellis,
3 sisters and brother-in-laws. Betty and Norm Schroeder, Marge and Russell Poor and Dorothy Anderson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Louanna B Ellis and a daughter Brenda Ellis, two sisters, Crystal and Sarah and three brothers, Kenneth, Leonard and Orval.
Visitation Wednesday in the L.C.Friederichs & Son Funeral from 2-9 PM with funeral service Thursday at 10 AM in the funeral Home. Burial in Hillside Cemetery.
