Catherine “Wes” Schuman
Catherine (known fondly as Wes or Weslynn) Schuman, age 74 of St. Clair passed away on April 28, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 23, 1934 in port huropn to the late Harold F. and Catherine Veronica Ward. She married David R. Schuman, June 21, 1952 in St. Clair and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2004. Catherine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Stephan of St. Clair and her beloved granddaughter, Nikki Stephan of Port Huron, as well her sweet cat Mr. Tucker. She is also survived by a brother Harold (Mary) Ward of Birmingham, Alabama, sister-in-law Marilyn Ward of Redford, sister-in-law Sharon Langolf of Port Huron, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Thorton and Elsie Christy of St. Clair and Merle and Ruth Schmidt of St. Clair, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, James and “Jack” Ward.
Cremation haw taken place. A memorial service will b held, Monday May, 11 at 12 noon in the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Memorials may be made to the St. Clair County Humane Society or Visiting Physicians of Marysville.
