Carl Tanner's Obituary
Carl Tanner age 82 of East China died Sunday"Feb. 16,2003. He was born January 21,1921 in Mascot Tennessee. Carl married Jeanette Askar Jan. 14, 1957 in Tazewell, TN. He attended Mascot High School, and joined the Navy during WWII serving as a Sea- man First Class, and was honorably discharges December 14, 1945. Carl worked as a wheels man for Inner Lake Steel Ship company and also worked for Champion Bait.
He was a life member of both the American Legion Post #449 and the VFW. Carl Loved to play cards and also bingo. He is survived by his wife Jeannette Tanner. Son Larry (Mary) Tanner of Ontario, CA. Daughter Janice Tanner of Knoxville ,TN, Sister Rose Lee Wesson, Kingston, TN., Daughter-in-Law Iva Tanner Knoxville, Sister in laws Virginia Engelgau ofMarysville, & Irene Askar of Port Huron. 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by Daughter Berticka Tanner and Sons Mickey Tanner & Wayne Tanner.
Visitation Tuesday from the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, 11 AM till 3:30 PM when services will be held, the Rev Glenn Stone officiating. Memorials to American Diabetes Association.
