Betty L. Sayers' Obituary
Betty L. Sayers age 84 of St. Clair, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011.
Betty was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 23, 1927, to the late Arnold and Lillian Mehlberg. She married Robert Sayers, September 15, 1945, in St Clair, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 1985. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her loving sister Nancy Fleury in August 2010.
Betty was a life- long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church participating in Ladies Aid, Ladies Auxiliary, Alter Guild and 60’s Plus. She was a volunteer at the St Clair Historical Museum.
She is survived and remembered by her children, Sheila (Jae) Shobbrook of Roscommon, MI, Nancy (Tony) Pepe of Sterling Heights, MI, Daniel (Bobbie) Sayers, Thomas (Pamela) Sayers both of St Clair, MI. and her grand children Marci (Matt) Karwat, Chad (Mariana) Shobbrook, Tristan (Gail) Sayers, Matthew Pepe, Capt. John Sayers, Danielle (Ryan) Kreger, Sarah Pepe, Bobby (Stacy) Sayers and eight great grand children (Matthew, Hannah, Brooklin, Brayden, Abril, Jae Gabriel, Griffin and Mackenzie, and her dear brother-in-law Donald Fleury., and many nieces and nephews. Visitation is in the L.C.Friederichs & Son Funeral Home, Wednesday 6-9 PM
and Thursday, 2-4 and 6-9 PM. In state Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church
from 10 AM till service at 11 AM. Burial in Hillside Cemetery. Memorials in Betty’s name may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church nativity scene.
