Barbara A. Jeffries' Obituary
Barbara A. Jeffries, age 84, of St. Clair passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023. She was born April 13, 1939 to the late Albert and Vera Rann. She married Charles N. Jeffries in St. Clair. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2013.
She received her bachelor degree from Central Michigan University and later her master's degree from Oakland University. She taught at Marysville Junior High School in the 1970's and later worked at St. Clair County Community College as a career counselor.
She enjoyed reading, attending plays, and outings to museums. She liked to stay involved in community projects such as the arch and clock along the boardwalk in St. Clair. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church in St. Clair.
She is survived by her children; Julie Jeffries, Jennifer (V.J.) Zelenak, Mark (Polly) Jeffries and Rachael Holland. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Madison Jeffries, Nicolas Minge and Tara Minge along with nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9 at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Private inurnment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
