Barbara Ashley's Obituary
Barbara Ashley, age 86, of St. Clair, passed away on August 29, 2024. She was born February 19, 1938 in Fairmont, WV to the late Virgil and Jessie Heston. She married Don Ashley on February 14, 1959. Barbara and Don were married 33 years until Don’s death in April of 1992. Barbara worked for Hayes, St. Clair for 25 years. She was a woman of faith, who loved her church and God. Barbara’s family inspired her life. She loved to read, play bridge, and travel. Barbara’s graceful nature and kindness will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Lori Worth, Amy (Mike) Brusca; grandchildren, Josephine (Andrew) Hinrichs, Samuel Brusca, and Francesca Brusca; brother, Ray (Judy) Heston; sister-in-law, Shirley Heston.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Anne; son-in-law, Michael Wade; and her brothers, Paul and Ralph Heston.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, September 7th at 11:00a.m. at First Global Methodist Church, St. Clair. Visitation will be on Friday, September 6th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair. As well as from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday. Interment will follow at Hillside cemetery.
