Anne Frances Lee's Obituary
Anne Frances Lee, age 91, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on January 16, 2025. She was born March 4, 1933 in Bell Island, Newfoundland, Canada to the late John and Mary Butler.
She married Harold “Hank” Lee on April 27, 1957 in Bell Island, Newfoundland.
She was an artist and enjoyed painting and sculpting. Anne always enjoyed hosting parties for family and friends.
She also enjoyed decorating for the holidays and doing the interior design for the homes in which they lived. Anne spent many years as a Mary Kay sales representative and was the first Director of Sales in Canada and first to earn the celebrated Pink Cadillac in Canada.
She was an avid bridge player as well as an accomplished gardener.
As a military wife she often coordinated events for soldiers and families and she belonged to different women’s auxiliary organizations to support educational scholarships to those in need.
She is survived by her loving husband; Harold “Hank” Lee, her children: Joanne (Gary) King, Harold, Jr. “Hal” Lee, Stephen (Sharon Suzuki) Lee, and Richard (Caroline) Lee.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, her brothers; Thomas (Brenda) Butler and Bernard (Maxine) Butler, her sister; Ursula Soroka, honorary son; Kirk Soroka, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sisters; Margaret Fitzgerald and Rita Frizzell, her brother; Steve Butler and several step-brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 22 at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair, MI. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
