Anita M. Borland's Obituary
Anita M. Borland age 92 of Greeley Colorado, formerly of St. Clair died Wednesday, March 9 in Greeley surrounded by family and friends. She was born Oct. 4, 1912 in Moulinette, Ontario, Canada, to the late Herbert and Rhoda (Tilton) Moss. Mrs. Borland was raised by her grandparents and lived in the small village of Moulinette until she moved to Michigan with her family. She had fond memories of growing up on her grandparents’ farm with her brother, aunt and five uncles. She remembered running, through fields of daises with big bows in her hair, snowball fights, the sound of crunching snow, and sleigh bells on a horse and buggy. She attended business college and worked at Crowley’s and Michigan Bell.
Anita married Irvine Borland in Detroit. They lived in Dearborn, St. Clair, Brevort and back to St. Clair,
where she enjoyed the river and watching freighters and boats pass by.
Anita is survived by two daughters, Margaret Neumann and husband Glen of Greeley, Co., and Diane Berger and husband Bill of St. Clair, MI. Four grand children, Lt. Cmdr. John Berger and wife Janice, currently stationed in Willow Grove, PA, Lynn Cole and Shawn of Litchfield Park, AZ. Susan Berger and Mike Weist of Breckenridge, and David Berger and wife Amber of Marysville, MI and four great grand children Dominique and Jack Berger both of Willow Grove and Austin and McKenna Cole both of Litchfield Park. Anita was preceded in death by her husband Irvine and brother Stuart Moss.
