Andrew Pickelhaupt's Obituary
Andrew Pickelhaupt, age 86 of Port Huron, passed away Monday
August 21, at his home. I
_ He was born in 1920 in Port Huron to the late Andrew &
Catherine Pickelhaupt. Andy retired from the Air National Guard
in 1980.He served proudly in WWII in Pearl Harbor and various
South Pacific posts. He deeply enjoyed his military career as it
helped forge the great man he was. Andy married Mary Helen
Moote in 1950 and she passed away September 4, 1984. He re
married in 1985 to Joyce G. Davidson until present. Andy was a person of knowledge and enjoyed laughing, crossword puzzles, dancing, euchre and travel more than most.
Andy is survived by his wife of 22 years Joyce G. Pickelhaupt, children Susan K.(Tom) Madden of Port Huron, Lynn D.(the late Ken) Nihls, Andrew "Charlie"(Linda) Pickelhaupt. Lee (Maggie)Pickelhaupt, Diane (James) Schneider, Ava Gotautas; Neil (Debbie) Pickelhaupt. Grandchildren Tracy_ Todd, Anthony, Brian, Steven, Ann, Brad, James, Rachel, Megan, Jerry, Sarah_ Shana, John,Victoria, Jori,Mary & 7 Great grandchildren.
Andy was a member or St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Moose
Lodge & American Legion.
Preceding him in death were Brothers Hank, Fred, David,
Chuck, wife Mary, Sister Doris.
In lieu of flowers send donations in Andrews name to
V.N.A. Blue Water Hospice or Disable American Veterans
A private family gathering win be held Friday August 25th_ cremation will take place following. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held on Monday August 28th at II A.M. at the chapel of Rosehill Cemetery, East China Twp.
