Alexander "Al" Konik's Obituary
Alexander "Al" Konik age 81 of St. Clair died Wednesday, December 8, 2004. Al was born November 7, 1923 in St. Clair to the late Alexander and Theodosa Konik. He graduated from St. Clair High School and served in the Merchant Marine from 1944 till 1947. He worked at Mercy Hospital for 20 years and then for East China Schools for 15 years. He married Betty Barry Oct. 7, 1961. Al enjoyed hunting and fishing, working with firewood and being with his family. Al is survived by is wife Betty, on son Leo Alexander (Susan) Konik, grandson Michael Alexander Konik. His sisters Irene Klecha and Lucille (Stan) Rachwal,nepehws Rev. Joe Klecha, Roy (Chris) Klecha and Jim (Julia)Klecha, great nephews Brian and Ted Klecha, great nieces Amber, Brooke, Stacy, Andrea and Sandy (Jeff). Special friends Roy and Sharon Stubbs and their family and his four legged friend Chance.
Service at 11 AM Saturday in the chapel at St. Mary''s Cemetery, Deacon Robert McLeod officiating. Burial in St. Mary''s Cemetery. Memorials to St. Clair County Humane Society.
