Elinor Siemen passed away on Sunday, May 11th, Mothers Day. Elinor was born to the late Marie (Needham) and Raymond Engelgau Elinor Graduated from St. Stephan's High School in 1950 and from U of D nursing school in 1953. She worked many years for Dr. Bridge and also at Port Huron Hospital. She was also a nursing instructor and taught at St. Clair County Community College. She and her husband Ronald owned "Tyler's", "Siemens" Market in St. Clair for 15 years. Elinor enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and had a special love for cats. Jiggs and Mowgli along with her dog Cricket who will miss her dearly. Elinor is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronald. Daughters Sarah (Joe) Bennett of Port Huron, Rachael Siemen (Jim Dickinson) of Port Huron, granddaughters Alaina and Gina Bennett. Sisters Marge Stein and Kay (Jerry) Gibson and many nieces and nephews. Elinor was preceded in death by her brother Donald Engelgau. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends, Wednesday from 5-8 PM in the L.C. Friederichs & Son Funeral Home. With a memorial service to be held at 11 AM Thursday in the Funeral Home .In lieu of flowers memorials to St. Clair County Humane Society/SNAP. Arrangements by L.C. Friederichs & Son
